Also, I would like to acknowledge all Indigenous peoples, whose wisdom and knowledge offer great opportunities for humanity to learn how to be more sustainable and respectful of the land we inhabit.

Next steps: WellnessIn many languages the words for water have multiple meanings – as in the example of Wai.
In my mother tongue, English, there are also many words that have a connection to water, which have disparate meanings – e.g Wellness, Spring.

Way of the TurtleThe Way of the Turtle is a collaboration between Yorta Yorta researcher Lee Joachim and artist Tracey Benson focused on how connection to country can build strong and healthy communities through skills and intergenerational knowledge sharing.
The project uses a range of media including environmental data, augmented reality (AR), video and photography to creatively engage with scientific research on Yorta Yorta country and to share and build knowledge.
