Approved and certified. All HELIOS mono tube units havethe approval of the Institut forBautechnik, Berlin. Electric plug connector fan only connects when the fanis pushed into place. Wiring canbe done before plastering.No additional wiring is requiredand the fan can simply pushedin and locked into position. The fanis isolated as soon as it is removedfrom it’s case.

Bolt free connectionof the fan unit.Press in, turn bayonet plugs 90°without using tools – the fan unit isfixed. That way you have time andcosts under control and it can be alast operation on site preventingpilferage.

Central fixing faciaOnly one screw needs to beturned in and the facia is fixed.Permanently sealed, to preventwalls and ceiling smudges. Easyleveling without any problems if theunit is out of square.

What and when is theoptimum?

The automatic solution = PIR.That’s automatic and ensuresgood ventilation.

Optimum fan control in toiletsand sanitary facilities withindustrial and private use for example in hostels, hotels,offices etc.

Helios offers the ideal solution:QuietVent ELS-VEB 60 is fittedwith a PIR as standard; the fanstarts automatically when aperson enters the room. Theelectrical connection is direct tothe power supply without needfor a switch.

QuietVent ELS-VEB with motionsensor ventilates automaticallyas required when entering theroom.

An integrated PIR sensorregisters the heat emissionof human beings and switcheson the unit with a delay ofapproximately 45 seconds.

According to the setting, the unitoperates 3, 7, 10 or 15 minutes.If the impulse is repeated withinthat time, the operation timeprolongs respectively.

When leaving the room, there isa run on time as preset.

Ideally the fan should be fittedso the movement in the room isalways detected, so position isimportant.Typical use: Automaticventilation without using aswitch.Control: PIR controlled.

QuietVent ELS in the low energy houseQuietVent ELS-VEF with automatic humidity control

Intelligence creates well-being.Steamed up mirrors are aindication of too highhumidity. That means anunhealthy room climate forhuman beings and buildings.In a 4-person household,approx. 10-15 litres of water are created daily in the roomair. This has to be extractedthrough ventilation.

To ventilate ecologically, efficientlyand economically through manualwindow ventilation is impossible.But it’s easy with the humiditycontrolled QuietVent ELS-VEF 60from Helios.

Progressive electronicscontrol the QuietVent ELS-VEFautomatic and results in:

– With normal increase of thehumidity (e.g. caused bywashing, drying of textiles ordecrease of temperature) thefan starts automatically whenthe limiting value of approx.70% relative humidity isachieved. The unit operatesuntil the relative humidity islowered by at least 10%.

– With fast increase of thehumidity (e.g. caused fromshowering) the microprocessorcontrolled electronic starts thefan automatically after a shorttime. After the comfortable zone

is achieved (relative humidity of 40– 70%) the fan turns off automatically.

These new units are head andshoulders above a conventionalhygrostat function and preventssteaming up on walls, ceilingsand equipement.

As a result, the QuietVent ELS- VEF 60 creates a comfortableclimate without mould andannoying smells with a minimumof energy use.Typical use: For ventilation of humidity polluted rooms(e.g. bathrooms).Control: Automatically,on the humidity levels.

Replacement air is necessary sothat humid air can be extractedby the fan.

If required an override switchcan be fitted for full speed. Ifthe QuietVent ELS-VEF isto be controlled via the lightswitch. After switching offthe manual operation, thereis a run on time of approx.6 minutes.

High humidity in buildingscauses poor health and mouldgrowth. Continuous ventilationuses energy when not alwaysrequired.

The BSH system consists of thefollowing components:1. Fire protection sleeve BSH

acts in the case of fire ascompensator and is to beinserted into the main ducting infloor opening (see installationdetail). The design (with 1, 2 orwithout spigot) can be different

per storey, according to therequirements.

2. BSHI insulation sleeve To prevent the upper storey fromfire through heat transfer, themain duct must be insulatedone meter over the floor withthe insulation sleeve BSHI inevery floor. A separationbetween ventilation ductingand other (also combustible)elements is therefore notnecessary.

3. ELS ventilation unit

The connected fan casingsmust be fire protected (airtightbackdraught shutter etc.).Following types can be used:– Surface mounted casing
