    Insert RH needle from front between 6th and 7th sts on LH needle and draw through a loop; keeping loop

    Row 4 K2, p2, [work smocking stitch, k1, p2, k2, p2] twice, p to end.

    Row 8 [K2, p2] twice, work smocking stitch, k1, [p2, k2] twice, p to end.

    Rows 924 Rep rows 18 twice more.

    Rows 2528 *K2, p2; rep from * to end.

    Bind off in rib.

    RIGHT HAND

    Cuff

    Cast on 36 sts.

    Rows 1-9 *P2, k2; rep from * to end.

    Body

    Rows 1, 3, 5 and 7 (WS) [P2, k2] four times, p2, k18.

    Rows 2 and 6 (RS) P18, [k2, p2] four times, k2.

    Row 4 P18, [work smocking st, k1, p2, k2, p2] twice, k2.

    FINISHING

    Weave in ends. Fold piece in half, sew side seam, leaving a 212"/6.5cm opening for thumb.%
