For more than one hundred years, quality, innovation and functioality have been our values and have represented as one of the leading manufactures of school furniture.

The evolution of both school systems and the new orientation of teaching programmes have brought significant changes to the way of understanding and developing the design and technical properties of school furniture.

This transformation in education poses an interesting challenge which offers us the opportunity to develop, using our experience gained , the space and furniture which will complement this so-called “new education” and which now has become a reality.

01.Federico Giner, más de un siglo de historia.

En 1910 Federico Giner pone en marcha el primer taller de carpintería de Tavernes de la Valldigna (Valencia), el embrión de un negocio de base industrial que ha ido evolucionando con el tiempo hasta convertirse en un referente en el sector de la fabricación de mobiliario escolar, de hogar e instalaciones.

Tras más de un siglo de recorrido, Federico Giner, que ya incorpora miembros de la cuarta y quinta generación, es una firma reconocida por la calidad y funcionalidad de sus productos y que ha sabido adaptarse a los tiempos sin perder el espíritu familiar.

In 1910 Federico Giner set up a small carpenter’s workshop in Tavernes de la Valldigna (Valencia), the embryo of an industrial business base that continued to develop until it became a reference point in the school furniture manufacturing sector.

Throughout the course of more than a century Federico Giner, which now includes fourth and fifth generation members, is a company highly recognised for the quality and functionality of its products and which has been able to adapt with the times without losing family spirit.

19711940 1950La fabricación de mobiliario de hogar.

Junto con la fabricación de mobiliario escolar nace una nueva línea de negocio centrada en el mueble de hogar, gracias a la capacidad de la empresa en flexibilizar la producción y dar respuesta a las necesidades del mercado en aquellos años.

Household furniture production.

Together with school furniture production a new line of production is born, which centres on household furniture, thanks to the capacity to adapt production and meet the demand of the market at that time.

La segunda generación empresarial.

Con la incorporación de los hijos del Sr. Giner Peiró, Federico, Joaquín y Pepe, se amplía la fábrica con el objetivo de dotarla de mayor capacidad industrial. Son años de consolidación de la empresa, tanto en el ámbito educativo, como en mobiliario del hogar.

Second business generation.

With the incorporation of Mr Giner Peiró’s sons, Federico, Joaquin and Pepe, the company is expanded to give it greater industrial capability, these are years of consolidation in both the school and household furniture market.

La suspensión de convocatorias públicas fuerza una reconversión.

Con el cambio a una nueva Ley de Educación, la dirección de la empresa inicia un nuevo periodo basado en la innovación y el diseño, tanto en muebles escolares como para el hogar, donde destaca su línea de mobiliario juvenil.

1910 1926El origen: un pequeño taller de carpintería.

Federico Giner Llinares inicia su actividad en un modesto taller de carpintería que en pocos años evoluciona y pasa a fabricar muebles escolares y mobiliario auxiliar. Durante este tiempo se incorpora a la empresa D. Federico Giner Peiró.

Federico Giner Linares sets up a small carpenter’s workshop which in the space of a few years begins to manufacture school furniture. During this period D. Federico Giner Peiró joins the company.

Suspension of public tenders forces change.

With the change in the new Education law, the company begins a new period based on innovation and design both in school and household furniture which is highlighted by its juvenile line.

La especialización por el mobiliario escolar.

Comienza la participación de Federico Giner en las convocatorias de concursos para suministro de muebles escolares del Ministerio de Educación, un hecho que marcará la especialización de la firma y su trayectoria industrial.

Specializing in school furniture.

Federico Giner starts tendering for school furniture contracts with the Ministry of Education, an event which marks the beginning of specialization in the company and its industrial projection.

19641958El tubo de hierro se implementa en la fabricación.

En estos años se incorpora el tubo de hierro en la fabricación de las estructuras de mesas y sillas. Una mejora sustancial en el diseño que diferencia a la marca. Al mismo tiempo, la empresa mejora sus instalaciones y adquiere nuevo equipamiento industrial.

The implementation of iron tubing in production.

During this period iron tubing was introduced into table and chair manufacturing. A substancial design improvement which highlighted the brand. At the same time the company upgraded intallations and acquired new industrial machinery.

The bid for innovation from the beginning.

Since its founding, there has always been a will to apply the latest industrial processes and materials as well as the use of curved plywood sheeting in seats, seat backing and shelving.

La apuesta por la innovación desde los primeros años.

Desde su fundación existe una inquietud en la empresa por aplicar las últimas novedades en procesos industriales y materiales, como el uso de tableros curvados contrachapados en asientos, respaldos o estantes.

1975 -1979Llega la homologación escolar.

El Ministerio de Educación crea una nueva normalización en la fabricación del mobiliario escolar que la empresa aborda de manera inmediata. Al mismo tiempo, consolida su presencia internacional a través de ferias y certámenes por todo el mundo.

The Ministry of Education introduces new regulations to school furniture production which the company immediately adopts. At the same time the company’s international presence is consodilated by participating in international fairs and tenders.

1989El nacimiento de un parque empresarial.

Con el crecimiento de la empresa, se construyen nuevas instalaciones y se crea una red de empresas auxiliares que configuran un tejido industrial alrededor de la firma. Esta se apoya en la colaboración de diseñadores externos que aportan un toque de frescura al mobiliario de hogar y educativo.

The birth of a business park.

With the growth of the company, new installations are constructed and an auxiliary network of companies is created, which forms an industrial web around the company. This is supported by the collaboration of external designers who bring a fresh approach to school and household furniture design.

1981Las Autonomías Españolas y su diversidad.

El nacimiento de las distintas autonomías y su independencia en cuestiones de educación lleva a la empresa a realizar nuevos esfuerzos para ampliar su oferta de catálogo y dar respuesta a las distintas necesidades estéticas y funcionales de cada gobierno autónomo.

The birth of different autonomous regions and their independence concerning education questions forces the company to expand their catalogue to meet the aesthetic needs and functions of each autonomous government.

1992La rica y fructífera colaboración con los institutos tecnológicos.

Se inicia una estrecha relación con AIDIMA e IBV de Valencia, con el objetivo de no cesar en la investigación y desarrollo en el mobiliario escolar. En estos años, se amplía la oferta con el mueble para Universidad y la fabricación de carros portaequipajes en aeropuertos.

The rich productive collaboration with technological institutions.

A close line of communication is formed with Valencia AIDIMA and IBV with the aim of continuous research and development of school furniture. During this period the range of products is expanded to include university furniture and airport trolleys.

1999La consolidación: cuatro fábricas y más de 40,000m2 .

Federico Giner se consolida como una empresa de gran proyección. Más de 250 empleados trabajar en la fabricación de mobiliario para todas las etapas educativas. La firma también consigue una consolidación y reconocimiento internacional con su mobiliario de hogar.

2010La celebración de sus 100 años.

Federico Giner celebra sus cien años de historia en una etapa complicada para el tejido industrial español. Inmersos en una importante crisis, muchas empresas del sector se ven obligadas a cerrar o reestructurarse.

2013El cierre temporal.

Tras varios años aguantando las embestidas de un mercado muy débil, Federico Giner se ve obligada a cerrar y cambiar de rumbo, con el firme objetivo de renacer con una propuesta capaz de adaptarse a las exigencias actuales del mercado.

Somos conscientes de la responsabilidad que entraña diseñar y desarrollar mobiliario infantil, especialmente adaptado para acompañarlos en las aulas a lo largo de su crecimiento físico e intelectual. Por esta razón, todos los productos que llevan la firma de Federico Giner han sido analizados en los laboratorios de ergonomía del Instituto de Biomecánica de Valencia, superando con éxito todas las pruebas.

El resultado es una colección de mobiliario responsable, elaborado con materiales que respetan tanto el medioambiente como el desarrollo de sus usuarios. Mobiliario que garantiza una perfecta adecuación ergonómica, proporcionando los máximos niveles de comodidad y facilitando la adopción de posturas correctas durante el desarrollo de tareas escolares. Productos que perduran en el tiempo, avalados por una gran resistencia.

Nuestros diseños también superan los ensayos realizados conforme a las normas españolas de calidad llevados a cabo por AIDIMA, instituto tecnológico del Mueble y Afines, laboratorio acreditado por el MICYT, Ministerio de Industria, Comercio y turismo y RELE, red española de laboratorios de ensayos. AIDIMA es miembro de EURIFI, Asociación Europea de Institutos Tecnológicos del Mobiliario.

Profesionales del Mobiliario escolar, S.L. dispone del Certificado Internacional de Calidad iso 9001, y del registro de empresa que certifica el Sistema de Aseguramiento de Calidad AENOR, ER-1317/1/99. Los productos etiquetados con este distintivo han superado los requisitos exigidos por el instituto de investigación y desarrollo del Mueble, AIDIMA, para la concesión de la etiqueta de Calidad Controlada.

The design and creation of products for children is a big responsibility and more when it comes to educational centers, where children grow physically and intellectually. For this reason, all the designs

by Federico Giner have been successfully tested by the Ergonomics Laboratory at the IBV, the Valencia Biomechanics Institute.

The result is a great collection of responsible furniture that respects the environment. A collection offering an appropriate ergonomics and high comfort levels to let the users reach a correct posture while doing schoolwork. And for a long time, as all the products by Federico Giner are backed by their resistance and durability.

Our designs pass a number of tests carried out by the Furniture, Wood, Packaging and Related Indus- tries Technology Institute, AIDIMA, accredited by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism (MICYT) and the Spanish Network of Testing Laboratories (RELE). AIDIMA is a member of the EURIFI (European Association of Furniture Technology Institute).

Federico Giner owns the ISO 9001 International Quality Certificate and the AENOR, ER-1317/1/99 that assures the quality of our products. All the products showing the “Tested Quality Label” have been successfully tested by AIDIMA.

El mobiliario ensayado ha salvado las pruebas de adecuaciónergonómica y proporciona a los usuarios un adecuado nivel de comodidad, facilitando la adopción de posturas correctas durante el desarrollo de tareas escolares (lectura, escritura, atención, etc.).

The tested furniture has successfully passed the ergonomics suitabil-ity tests and analysis and provides users with an adequate level of comfort, providing correct postures while doing classwork (reading, writing, attention, etc.)

Nuestro mobiliario pasa un doble examen de calidad. Por una parte el realizado desde IBV y por otra se somete a las pruebas del Instituto Tecnológico del Mueble y Afines de acuerdo con las normas españolas de calidad y las especificaciones UNE 11 020, UNE 11021, UNE 11022, UNE 11 023, referidas a la resistencia estructural y estabilidad (parte2) y materiales (parte1). AIDIMA es un centro acreditado por el Ministerio de Industria, Comercio y Turismo y miembro de EURIFI, la Asociación Europea de Institutos Tecnológicos del Mobiliario.

Our furniture has passed a double quality control test carried out by both IBV and The Technological Institute of Furniture and Related Products in accordance with Spanish specification standards UNE 11020,UNE11021, UNE 11022 and UNE 11023 related to structural strength and stability (part 2) and materials (part 1) AIDIMA, is certified by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism (MICYT) and a member of EURIFI (European Association of Technological Institute of Furniture). AIDIMA, accredited by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism (MICYT) and the Spanish Network of Testing Laboratories (RELE). AIDIMA is a member of EURIFI (European Association of Furniture Technology Institute).
