UBICACION
El edificio de La escuela Nacional
Superior Autónoma de Bellas Artes
del Perú, se encuentra en el Jirón
Ancash 681, entre el Jirón
Ayacucho y el Jirón Andahuaylas.
Antiguamente se identifica su
ubicacion como Cuartel II, en la
esquina de las calles San Idelfonso
y Colegio Real (actualmente Jirón
Ancash).

HISTORIA
1919
Fundación del Inmueble
colonial San Idelfonso.
Centro de Estudios del
Real Colegio Secular
de los Agustinos de
San Ildefonso y
Convento de las
Monjas Recogidas.
Posteriormente, los
reyes de España y los
pontífices Urbano VIII
y Papa Paulo V le
confirieron el título de
Universidad Pontificia
de San Marcos.
El 28 de setiembre
de 1918 el Estado
adjudicó el local a la
Escuela de Bellas.

Inauguración oficial, el
15 de abril de 1919.

La actual fachada de la
Escuela es de estilo
Neoperuano, diseñada
por el escultor y
arquitecto español
Manuel Piqueras Cotolí,
quien había llegado a
Lima contratado como
docente en 1920.
Actualidad
Continua funcionando
como La Escuela Nacional
Superior Autónoma de
Bellas Artes del Perú.
La fachada lateral a sido
pintada como mural con
grafitis.

Se amplían los
estudios en San
Ildefonso, pues al
estudio de Artes y
Teología, se añade
también el de la
Escritura Sacra.
