INFORMACIÓN GENERAL PARA LAS INSCRIPCIONES

Solamente se aceptarán las inscripciones hechas en línea. No se permitirán registros atrasados o en persona. Los estudiantes se tienen que registrar por Internet para poder asistir a las clases. Los alumnos se deben inscribir en los cursos que indican el grado al cual van a entrar en el otoño. Se recomienda que los estudiantes del 1º al 6º grado se registren por lo menos en tres (3) cursos ofrecidos de la escuela de verano.

No se aceptarán registros por teléfono. Si usted no tiene acceso al Internet, tendrá que venir al laboratorio de computación de la Escuela Secundaria, sala 143, para registrarse.

ASISTENCIA CON EL PROCESO DE INSCRIPCIÓN

El laboratorio de computación, ubicado en la sala 143 donde están los espacios comunes (1402 Freedom Rd, Little Chute), estará abierto de 9 a.m. a 11 a.m. el sábado 19 de marzo 2016. Si usted necesita acceso después del 19 de marzo, habrán computadoras disponibles en la Biblioteca Pública de Little Chute o en el Centro de recursos para la familia en la Escuela Primaria.

CANCELACIONES DE CURSOS

Una clase puede ser cancelada al no haber suficientes inscripciones. Usted será notificado vía email en la eventualidad que se cancele una clase.

REEMBOLSOS

Los pagos no serán reembolsados. Solamente se darán reembolsos si una clase es cancelada por Las Escuelas del Área del Distr ito de Little Chute.

Students will enjoy using their imagination to express themselves through various art media and craft projects. This is a hands-on active class for students interested in creating their own unique masterpieces.

Getting students ready for 5K! Each day includes a learning activity, read-aloud, and snack revolving around a fun, age-appropriate theme. There will be additional enrichment and recess time.

Dodgeball, kickball, wiffleball, soccer, speedball, and tag. Come learn how to play them all and have a “ball” doing it!

WRITING

Do you love to read and write? Would you like to maintain all of the reading and writing skills you have practiced throughout the school year? Even if you don't LOVE to read & write this course might be just what you're looking for. Students will have fun reading and writing while their skills as a reader and writer are reinforced through author studies, exploring genres, and making connections with text.

FUN WITH BOOKS

If you are a student who likes story time, enjoys music and movement and acting out parts of a book, this class is for you.

GAMES GALORE

Students will enjoy playing their favorite games and learning new games too. Each class will consist of fun, high energy activities and games that get their bodies moving and their hearts pumping.

Here’s your chance to learn more about Harry and his adventures at Hogwarts! We will make crafts and food, play Quidditch, read from the seven books, and watch parts of the movies!

Parents please note: the Harry Potter movies are rated “PG.” Please do not sign

your child up for this class if you do not want them to watch the movies.

This is a math class for those students who would like practice and use math skills in a variety of games and apps.

Do you like whales or dolphins? Do you wonder what the ocean looks like and what lives down under? This class will be filled with fun and as you learn about the ocean and the animals that live in it.

SUMMER SPANISH

Students in “Summer Spanish” will learn the language and the culture of several Spanish-speaking countries. The vocabulary topics will include basic conversation, numbers, colors, community, animal, food, and family words. They will also learn a lot about the Hispanic culture and what life is like for children who live in other countries. The goal of this class is to spark an interest in learning Spanish while having fun at the same time.

Students will make word scrapbooks. They will make a scrapbook for mom or dad. They will make small binded books, page layouts, calendars, and more.

FAIRYTALES

Each week the class will focus on a different fairytale. We will be reading classic fairytales, creating fun arts and crafts, and using creativity to create their own fairytale. This summer the Fairytales will include The Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks, The Three Bears, and Hansel & Gretel.

Career Skills is a required class that provides an overview of the skills necessary for high school and future success. Through a variety of activities, students will explore the following areas: Getting to know LCHS, study skills, technology, career exploration and portfolio development focused on the LCASD Eight Learner goals.

Health is a required class that covers a broad spectrum of health-related topics to help make students aware of the causes of mental and physical illnesses and their prevention, and demonstrates how lifestyle, perceptions, and decisions affect health. Areas of study include: Mental and Emotional; Growth and Development; Nutrition; Personal Health and Physical Activity; Substance Use and Abuse; Sexuality Education; Communicable and Chronic Diseases; Safety and Injury Prevention; Consumer, Community and Environmental Health.
