CANTABRIA HOLIDAYS Some of our classmates of 6th grade are going to Cantabria at the end of the 3rd term. We are nervous and very excited. We will go by bus. In Cantabria we are going to a big zoo and we will do exciting and dangerous activities. We also will visit a famous village called Castro Urdiales.

VICENTE NEWS In our school we have three teachers that help children with autism.
This month, on the 19th and the 26th some friends from high school
will come to our school to talk with us about new technologies.
Teacher Sagrario, who has worked in this school for many years, is a
retired teacher now.
On the 25th of May we will go to visit El Valle de Lozoya, after our
exams.
In June we will have our own graduation, we are excited!!

LET´S PRACTICE SOME SPORTS
In Alcorcón, we are going to take part in the Olympic
games on the 10th of June. We can participate in a lot of
games such as football, basketball, athletism, swimming,
volleyball, high jump, relays and jump of lenght. It will be

If you buy something we will be so happy…

THE CARNIVAL This year the carnival was amazing. Each grade dressed up about different ages. Fifth graders dressed up about hippies, third graders about “los ´80”, etc. It was so fun!!

COMIDA ESPECIAL EN EL COMEDOR En el comedor ha habido dos días comidas especiales de otros países, como por ejemplo, la comida china y la comida mexicana. Ambas estaban muy buenas pero nos gustó más la mexicana. Este mes vamos a probar la comida alemana. Creemos que va a estar buenísima y suponemos que habrá salchichas. ¡Genial!

OUR TRIP TO THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM
In the second term we went by bus to Madrid, the travel was exciting. There were some other schools in the museum. We went to see the Egyptian part of the museum, but when we finished a guide told us a small part of the history of Greece.

THE WORLD BOOK DAY The 23rd of April is the World Book Day. In our class we did some tongue twisters with the
assistants. And then the teacher gave us some poems. In groups we had to learn the poems
and act them out. This special day was really fun!

Para celebrar el día del Libro y animar a leer, hemos realizado unos
marcapáginas. Algunos nos han salido divertidos, y otros “monstruosos”
pero nos han quedado muy bien, muy coloridos y graciosos.

SKATING IS FUN We went skating to Leganés with our teachers and friends from 4th and 3rd grade. We went there by bus, and we sang a lot of different songs. We want to repeat this trip next year. It was fantastic!!

APRENDIENDO A COMPRAR
El último día del segundo trimestre fuimos de excursión al mercado
Mayesi. Nos lo pasamos muy bien y aprendimos a comprar bien.
Hicimos varias actividades y la que más nos gustó fue la de aprender
a saber más cosas sobre los videojuegos porque así podemos saber
que son adecuados para nuestra edad. También nos gustó mucho la
que trataba sobre Facebook porque aprendimos a usar Internet un
poco mejor.

CRAZY STORIES In the Book Day we did a crazy story. First, the assistants (Carolyn and Hanna) and the teacher represented a story. We had to take one paper of a character. Then we did five groups and we had to invent stories. Finally we acted them out.

TRINITY EXAM First, we had to think of a personal topic. Later, we wrote some texts. Then we revised them with the assistants.
We are also working on some questions from some different topics. We will take the exam the last week of May.

EL VIAJE DE TERCERO Por primera vez, los de tercero nos vamos de viaje de fin de curso. Estamos muy emocionados, nos vamos a… ¡Aranjuez! Aunque algunos están demasiado nerviosos. Otros lo celebramos en casa. Yo creo que todo primaria debería ir de viaje de fin de curso.

AT THE ZOO On the 8th of April we visited the zoo.We saw all the wild animals we had studied at school such as elephants, tigers, lions… Here we are watching the dolphin show!

These are some of the bookmarks we have made in the Arts and Crafts class for the World Book Day. Aren´t they really nice?
KAMISHIBAI
Kamishibai significa “drama de papel”. Es una forma de contar historias que se originó en Japón en el siglo XII. Se utilizaban para contar historias con enseñanzas morales para audiencias que no sabían leer y escribir en su mayoría. Los niños y niñas de 2º A y 2º B asistimos a la representación de la historia “Jaime de Cristal”, contada por Verónica, nuestra profesora de lengua. Y ahora, somos nosotros los que estamos trabajando para representarlo a nuestros compañeros más pequeños.
UNA VISITA MUY ESPECIAL A principios del mes de abril vino al colegio Rasi, nuestra mascota de clase. Fue una sorpresa inolvidable. La pudimos tocar y abrazar, y además nos dejó unos libros para la clase.

APRENDEMOS A RECICLAR En nuestro cole damos mucha importancia al reciclaje, por lo que este curso hemos dedicado tiempo a reciclar las botellas de plástico. El resultado ha sido genial.
DESCUBRIENDO EL QUIJOTE
Para conmemorar el día de libro, este año hemos trabajado un capítulo del famoso “Don Quijote de la Mancha”, así como los personajes de este famosísimo libro. Se trata de la historia de los molinos de viento… qué divertida, ¿verdad?

INFANTIL
¡NOS VAMOS DE EXCURSIÓN! Toda la etapa de Educación Infantil nos fuimos de excursión al teatro para ver la obra “La
Ratita Presumida Superstar”. ¡Nos lo pasamos genial!
Los mayores tuvieron la suerte de ir al parque de bomberos, y hasta les montaron en el
camión. ¡Fue una gran experiencia!
Aunque los niños y niñas de 3 y 4 años todavía son muy pequeños para ir al parque de
bomberos, no se podían quedar sin vivir un poquito de esta experiencia. Por eso, los
bomberos vendrán a visitarnos este mes al colegio. Vendrán con su gran camión. ¡Estamos
deseando que llegue el día! ¿Nos dejarán tocar la sirena?

INFANTIL
INFANTIL APUESTA POR LA NATURALEZA Empezamos el año 2016 de una forma muy animada, nos fuimos de excursión a la granja. Allí
nos enseñaron la importancia de cuidar a los animales y a las plantas.
Como nos quedamos con más ganas de naturaleza, montamos nuestro propio huerto, en el
que hemos plantado tomates, lechugas y perejil. Además, cada niño tiene su propia planta
que cuidará hasta final de curso.

INFANTIL
INFANTIL Y EL DÍA DEL LIBRO Entre plantas, teatros, bomberos y unas cuantas tareas más del día a día, no nos podíamos
olvidar de la importancia de los CUENTOS, y que mejor forma para celebrarlo que festejando
el DÍA DEL LIBRO.
En clase contamos el cuento “El pez arcoíris” e hicimos nuestro propio pez…un pez mágico
que brilla en la oscuridad.
Gracias a las mamás y papás del AMPA, el teatro vino al cole. Con mucho arte y salero a la
mariquita Igor en campeona convirtieron.
