First building of the compre-hensve development of the New Hospital and Psychiatric of Bispebjerg. This project consists of 9.500 m2 of labora-tories, logistic and storage faci-lities, as well as the research laboratories for the Bispebjerg Hospital. The project brings a very challengung task with great technical and programa-tic demands.

3
The new laboratory and logis-tics building for the Bispebjerg Hospital will play a crucial role in the operation and efficiency of the hospiral and psychiatry
which will be already in use in 2017. Along with its own
demands, the building has to contribute to the quality of the surrounding city, as the exis-
ting hospital area does.

Rosenhøj TransformationEffekt Arkitekter Position: M. Arch.REVIT modelling, architectural visualisation and construction documentsÅrhus 2013Ongoing construction
Far-reaching transformation of Rosenhøj - a social housing area of 1100 homes in Viby South, Århus. It is a holistic
plan with comprehensive transformation of urban space, infrastructure, facades, access
routes, new features, and the establishment of Europe’s
largest urban solar park on the roofs of all 27 blocks which would make the area more
than self-sustaining in terms of energy consumption.

Canopy for the Music PlazaEffekt Arkitekter Position: M. Arch.Construction parametric design with Grasshopper and construction documents.Copenhagen 2015Ongoing construction
The Music Plaza will beco-me a central setting on
Amager, Copenhagen for music, cultural life, events
and city life in general. The project is based
on existing institutions and activities and has
been developed through dialogues with the users. A roof creates an outdoor
covered event space, and becomes a landmark of
the area..

Extension of the Tønder City HallNathan Romero Arkitekter + Ignacio FosPosition: Freelance M. Arch.Architectural visualisationTønder 2013Competition. Awarded
The horizontal play that characterizes Halldor
Gunnløgsson’s building is enhanced and activated
by the cylindrical form, se-lected to harmonize with
the water tower, which is exactly twice as hight. “The jury is enthusiastic
about the poetry and elegance of this proposal.
(...) Building expression indicates a sensitivity both
in relation with the lands-cape and the existing
building.”

“Sustainable Public Housing of the Future”Nathan Romero Arkitekter + ACM Arquitectura Position: Freelance M. Arch.Architectural visualisationLinbjerg, Århus 2013Competition
New development in the eight kilometers north of Århus town of Lingbjerg, in close contact with nature and the city. The
complex is divided in four units of twenty to thirty families
sharing common gardens overlooking the hilly landscape
of Egådalen, to meet both the dense city qualities with the advantages of the life in the
village. All private and public spaces are designed to relate to the contiguous ancient city.

Stockholm Pavilions “Kalejdoskop”
Nathan Romero ArkitekterPosition: Freelance M. Arch.
Architectural visualisationStockholm 2013
Competition
Like the sky or the sea, the pavilions would never look exactly the same. A pattern of partially polished steel returns a kaleidoscopic image of city and skies. This pattern would cover the whole pavilion, both opaque and glass surfaces, adding ambiguity and richness to the perception: maple leaves on a rain puddle.

Biobío TheaterÁbalos+SentkierwiczPosition: M. Arch.Competition documentsConcepción, Chile 2012Competition. Third prize
Landform building that aims to be an ambivalent place.
The challenge of the project is to transform a rather
absorted program into a an opportunity to act as a catalyst for public life and
social interaction, a “place of the experience” linking culture and geographical
frame. An interface that, all in all, intend to transform the
experience into knowledge in the collective experience of space considered to be
the basis of a new thermodinamic beaty.
19
Transportation Hub in LogroñoÁbalos + Sentkiewicz Arquitectos Position: M. Arch.Construction documentsLogroño 2011Completed
The Intermodal station is a bulge on the green belt, that appears as a small hill giving continuity and, at the same time, transforming the linearity of the belt into a great public space. The station is planned as a cave that equips the park and extends it through the inte-riors, starting from a triangular geometry that is adapted both to the topographic configura-tion of the roof and a figurative (cave) answer to functional demands.
20
The project buries under-ground the train lines along their pass through Logroño
as a double opportunity to transform what usually
divides and socially segregates the city into
a green belt linking these districts and permiting the
movement through a public space, walking or by bike,
to experiment the possibility of building a new station area, understanding it as a meeting point between
landscape, architecture and environment.
22
Under the “hill”, the train and bus stations conform a “landform building” that
adjusts through its triangular shape both the external
organic shapes and internal constructive ones, genera-ting two cracled hypostyle
naves around the central dome that extend as caves
the public dimension of the park. The high impact
building, due to its scale and conditions, pretends
on itself to reequilibrate the central areas of the whole
city.

San Pablo CEU High SchoolDe Lapuerta + Asensio Arquitectos Position: M. Arch.Working project development and on-site construction managementMadrid 2010Completed
Comprehensive renovation of a semi-abandoned educatio-nal facility into a private high
school in the center of Madrid. Challenging construction
management in terms of size, more than 4.000 m2, number of
workers, peaking up to above one hundred at the same time
some occasions, and especia-lly time, considering the acade-
mic schedule limitations.

New Typology of Social HousingDe Lapuerta + Asensio ArquitectosPosition: M. Arch.Competition documentsSao Paulo 2010Competition. First prize
Competition held by CDHU Sao Paulo for new
housing typologies in slum clearance projects. This
winning solution answers to the local weather (and its rainy season), is che-
ap, fast to mount thanks to a prefab concrete design,
and also admits future extensions along the
longitudinal axis as well as spontaneous lateral
growings.

Thermodynamic Prototypological Fields ETSAM (Iñaki Ábalos Projects Design Teaching Unit)Position: Assistant teacher Assisting teaching, exhibition and publications editing coordinator. Madrid, 2010-11
‘Thermodynamic Prototypolical Fields:
application in the center of Madrid’ was the topic
of the Project Design Subject in hte Teaching
Unit leaded by Iñaki Ábalos at ETSAM during
the course 2010-11. Spatio-temporal coordi-nates are Madrid-2030.
Students were told firstly to build together a mapping of the area from a thermodynamic paradigm. The seven
thermodynamic fields of actuation (water, earth, air, solar radiation, mo-bility systems, building
stock recycling and urban intendency) are
the areas of opportunity to develop new proto-
typolgies to activate and challenge specific locations in the urban
core of the future city of Madrid.
Rethinking the center of Madrid from the thermody-namic pers-pective aims to modify the rutinary ways of understanding and let the development of strategies to adapt it to emergent uses and values.

to offer visitors a variety of experienceswith its various
pools, other services and unique opportunity to swim
in the sea. Bath house Kompass would
be a significant new for Hudiksvall town. It is an

A reactivation strategy for the neighborhoods of Fener
and Balat in the Golden Horn, in Istanbul, is propo-
sed following four steps:· renewal of the residential fabric (consisting on both renewal and completion)
· diversification of uses by including green fingers, a network of urban gardens
and workshops...· new commercial uses, to bring workplaces into the
mainly residential areas· renewal of the original little shops of the neighborhoodThe exercices is focused in
detail in the filling of a big residential plot which sepa-
rates Fener and Balat.
Neo-kasbah in the Golden HornETSAMPosition: Master studentFinal thesisIstabul 2009Outstanding
32
For the completion of the residential fabric is considered essential to fill a large void that
separates Fener and Balatr neighborhoods. To this end,
a contemporary interpretation of the Islamic urban principles
that led to the Ottoman laws which in turn generated the
built environment of the area is one starting point of the
proposal. So are recovered certain urban invariants, such as density, privacy, the patios
network and the subtle public-private transitions.
Besides the rich built context of these areas of Istanbul, its no less interesting and cha-llenging human context is con-sidered in the definition of the proposal. The classic Western middle-class housing makes little sense in this context, so it is “exploded” in a network of housing units. This reflects both the flexible contemporary housing need of the public: big extended families with their social network of relationships as their main asset.
The implementation of the new residential fabric is
intended to be flexible and dynamic, growing with the
changing needa iof the users, following the same principles that lead many
people all over the world to leave a bucket protecting the exposed steelbars on
top of infinished reinforced concrete columns in many
growing housing units.35
