La comunitat d’estudis de doctorat de la LERU funciona de forma continuada iestà dirigida per un comitè directiu que treballa en col·laboració amb unmembre de l'oficina de la LERU.

Doctoral training

• Develop and start, or continue toprovide structured programmes fordoctoral training in line with thebasic EU Principles for InnovativeDoctoral Training.

• These actions will be underpinned bythe LERU Position Paper ‘Doctoraldegrees beyond 2010: Trainingtalented researchers for society’(March 2010).

Academia-industry mobility

• Explore, develop and start, orcontinue to implement academia-industry mobility programmes for thetraining of excellent researchers foracademia and business, aiming atincreasing their mobility betweenindustry and academia.

• These actions will be underpinned bythe LERU Position Paper ‘Doctoraldegrees beyond 2010: Trainingtalented researchers for society’(March 2010).

Reporting

LERU will produce a concise progress report on the implementationof the actions listed above by December 2013.

Stakeholder Platform

EC will establish a dedicated ERA Stakeholder Platform, which LERUagrees to join, for the purpose of consulting with stakeholders onprogress towards the completion of the ERA.

Monitoring

EC will organise a meeting to review progress on theimplementation of this Memorandum of Understanding.

EC/LERU will, in a proportionate way, share with each other thealready available, relevant, and necessary information to monitorthe implementation of this Memorandum of Understanding.

• Desenvolupat per Vitae, al Regne Unit, ha estat objecte d'un projecte pilotliderat per el ESF (European Science Foundation) per provar la sevaaplicabilitat a l'Europa continental. La Comissió Europea ha expressat elseu interès en ella. L'eina està actualment disponible per a valoració.

• S’ha considerat valuós per al desenvolupament d’una carpeta (portfolio)en que el treball de recerca i les activitats de desenvolupamentprofessional (competències transversals) són enregistrats, permeten en lapràctica l'autovaloració del doctorand.

TENDÈNCIES I REPTES

• Un objectiu a curt termini és la redacció d’un document de bones pràctiques, amb

exemples de com les universitats LERU apliquen els principis de la formació

doctoral innovadora, tal i com s'estableix en el document LERU de 2011 abans

esmentat (referència per a l'ERA MoU que LERU ha signat amb la Comissió

Europea).

• El comitè directiu del grup elaborarà una llista d'àrees d’interès per recollir les

bones pràctiques.

Altres temes a treballar són:

• Connexions entre universitat i indústria: evidències d'esquemes de mobilitat,

col·laboracions, intercanvis, etc.

• Formació de directors de tesi.

The third LERU Doctoral Summer School was held from Sunday 8 July 2012to Friday 13 July 2012 at the UB’s Mundet Campus.

24 PhD students from LERU universities and 3 from universities outside ofthe LERU membership (Tsinghua University, China; Weill Cornell MedicalCollege, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA) attended theevent.

• Comprovació de la nostra capacitat de treballar conjuntament ambd’altres universitats, capdavanteres a nivell europeu.

BALANÇ PER LA UB

CONCLUSIONS

• Anem cap a un nou model de doctorat més estructurat. La pertinença a laLERU no pot fer més que facilitar aquest trànsit.

• Els programes de doctorat han d’estar en l'òrbita de l'estratègia de recercade la Universitat i de l’estratègia liderada per la LERU.
