TolosaldeaBASQUE MTB CENTRE VTT EUSKADI
The Valderejo-Añana MTB Centre is located 30 km from Vitoria-Gasteiz, capital of the Basque Country and European Green Capital 2012. The centre is headquartered in Angosto, a camping facility in the heart of the rural municipality of Valdegovía.
Here visitors will discover two very different types of landscape: the western valleys and the plains, the latter accessed by way of Iruña de Oca.
As for climate, the region is influenced by the Atlantic in the north, bringing cool temperatures and rain, and by the Mediterranean in the south, with moderate temperatures and drier weather. The terrain is also unique in that it consists of a series of interdependent valleys.
The Valderejo-Añana MTB Centre has seven routes of varying difficulty, including the 24-km Sobrón Alto route and the more accessible Espejo and Angosto routes.

Straddling the provinces of Gipuzkoa and Bizkaia, the Basque MTB Centre is situated in the Debabarrena region, just over 30 minutes from Vitoria-Gasteiz, Bilbao and Donostia-San Sebastián. The centre is located in the Mintxeta sports complex in the town of Elgoibar.
The region stands out for its contrasting scenery, the blue coastal waters merging with the lush green countryside, providing a treat for the eyes. The coastal routes pass by a series of beaches, coves and cliffs, as well as a unique geological formation known as flysch. The flysch formations found here, in the Basque Coast Geopark, are some of the most important in the world.
This centre has demanding routes, both red and black, but the effort is well worth it. Riders will be treated to stunning views from the top and adrenaline-fuelled descents.

The first Basque MTB centre was opened in the Busturialdea region of Bizkaia, in the town of Mendata, 5 km from Gernika and 38 km from Bilbao. Several of the routes in this spectacular region start from Mendata, located in the Mundaka River estuary within the natural paradise that makes up the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve.
The Busturialdea Urdaibai MTB Centre offers 11 routes for all levels, including more demanding routes that will test the riding abilities of even the more expert mountain bikers. Among the routes suitable for every level is a particularly enjoyable loop ride that begins and ends in the old quarter of Gernika-Lumo and follows the Mundaka River.
This is an area where forest and sea mingle to create breath-taking scenery and ideal terrain for mountain biking. A scattering of seaside villages also offer visitors a wide range of scenic, cultural and culinary attractions.

The Izki Montaña Alavesa BTT Centre is located in the south-east corner of the province of Álava. The headquarters can be found at the Urturi golf course, 38 km from Vitoria–Gasteiz and 28 km from the town of Laguardia in the Basque region of Rioja Alavesa.
If anything typifies the Montaña Alavesa region, it is the scenic open spaces. Limestone mountains rise above planted fields and dense forests, making this region a land of contrasting landscapes.
The Izki Montaña Alavesa MTB Centre provides easy access to an abundance of tracks and trails for mountain bikers. Some of the routes here take advantage of stretches of the former Basque-Navarro railway line, now converted into a greenway. Others overlap with the GR-38 "Wine and Fish Route", which connects Rioja Alavesa with the Basque Coast.
