La ISE nombra algunos de sus miembros individuales como ISEFellows como reconocimiento a su contribuciones recientes,tanto científicas como técnicas, al campo de la Electroquímica.Los ISE Fellows son seleccionados por el Comité Ejecutivo apartir de la recomendación del Comité de Nominaciones deFellows y de la consulta al Consejo de la ISE. Esta distinciónúnicamente se otorga a un pequeño porcentaje de miembrosactivos (aproximadamente un 5%).

El Prof. Manuel Yañez es nombrado Doctor Honoris Causa por laUniversidad del País Vasco

La Universidad del País Vasco ha concedido la distinción delgrado de Doctor Honoris Causa al Dr. Manuel Yáñez, profesor dela Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, y al Dr. Albert Fret (premioNobel de Física de 2007 y profesor emérito de la UniversidadParis-Sud), distinguidas figuras científicas en el ámbito de laquímica teórica y de la magnetorresistenciagigante, respectivamente.

La ceremonia de entrega del galardón e incorporación alClaustro de la Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal HerrikoUnibertsitatea, será el 27 de Octubre del presente año.
