March-April 2011 Newsletter Visita de Junta Directiva de Fundación Florida El pasado Martes 5 de Abril, tuvimos la grata visita de la Junta Directiva de Fundación Florida en nuestras instalaciones, ellos se llevaron una excelente impresión de CEPIA, manifestaron que nosotros somos un equipo con mucha mística porque hacemos las cosas maravillosas y desinteresadamente. Este comentario nos llena de mucha motivación y queríamos compartirlo con ustedes ya que existen muchas personas detrás del nombre de CEPIA, personas desinteresadas que aportan su tiempo, sus recursos para hacer de este proyecto algo hermoso que contribuye y genera esperanza para muchos chicos y chicas de la zona. Gracias a todos nuevamente por creer en este proyecto y pensar que podemos construir un mundo mejor. Visit Florida Foundation Board Last Tuesday April 5, we had a pleasant visit from the Florida Foundation Board at our facility, they took an excellent impression of CEPIA, stated that we are a team with great mystical because we do wonderful things and selflessly. Inicio de Clases Extraescolares! Este año nuevamente iniciamos las clases extraescolares, los niños, padres de familia nos alegra mucho saber que están pendientes de estas clases ya que para muchos chicos esta es la única oportunidad de hacer deporte y otro tipo de expresión artística ya que en la zona no existen ni en la escuela ni en la comunidad misma se lo pueden brindar. Agradecemos a los voluntarios _________________________________ por impartir estos hermosos cursos, los chicos están recibiendo clases de yoga, arte /craft, ingles, manualidades, ajedrez, natación, computo, surf, etc.

After School Classes Begin! Again this year we started school classes, children, parents, we are delighted to know that these classes are outstanding and that for many children this is the only opportunity to play sports and other artistic expression and that the area does not exist either at school or the community itself can provide it. _________________________________ thank the volunteers for providing these beautiful courses, kids are taking classes in yoga, art / craft, English, crafts, chess, swimming, computing, surfing, etc.

Noche de Cine El viernes 4 de Marzo en el Salón Comunal de Villarreal, se desarrollo la primera noche de cine de este año. La participación de niños y padres de familia fue muy buena, nos alegra mucho el saber que mama y papa comparten con sus hijos en este tipo de actividades y más aun que para muchos de ellos las posibilidades de llevar a sus hijos a un cine le es muy difícil tanto por la distancia como por los medios económicos. Gracias a Franchesca ____ y Tamara _______ voluntarias de CEPIA, por organizar esta hermosa actividad, fue un éxito. Movie Night On Friday March 4 at the Community Hall of Villarreal, is developing the first movie night this year. Inauguración cancha de futbol Huacas El pasado viernes 29 de abril de 3pm hasta las 6pm en coordinación con la empresa “Skull Candy” se hizo la entrega oficial de la cancha sintética (22x33m), a la comunidad de Huacas. 300 niños y jóvenes, y 200 personas de la empresa patrocinadora, asistieron al evento inaugural. Este es un esfuerzo en conjunto con manos amigas y con mucho orgullo la asociación CEPIA quiere estar presente para el mejoramiento del ornato y buscando lugares idóneos para crear ambientes para los jóvenes y niños que puedan realizar deporte o expresiones artísticas.

Grupo de jóvenes El pasado 1 de Marzo dio inicio el proyecto ¨Formando jóvenes hacia el futuro¨, un nuevo año con 30 chicos muy especiales, con emociones, sentimientos y mucha mucha energía que lucharan con nosotros para alcanzar cada uno sus sueños y aspiraciones. En estos meses los chicos han tenido la grata invitación a ver una exposición de arte en Carlos and Carlos, Flamingo la cual cultivo su espíritu por la pintura y las manualidades, también recibieron la grata visita de un grupo de jóvenes de la universidad de Chanuga de EUA, los cuales les explicaron un poco su historia y como es la vida y educación en otro país, también han recibido la charla sobre prevención de drogas, un taller de cómo utilizar los desechos y como reciclar, impartido por el departamente de Ambiente y Sanidad de la Municipalidad de Santa Cruz, y no podía faltar el primer paseo a la playa, como una forma de

integrar mas al grupo y hacer mas fuerte el interés de los chicos por lo que hacen y sientan que son realmente importante para nosotros. CINDEA La Asociación CEPIA se siente complacida y comprometida con la educación, por ello es que iniciamos nuevamente los cursos libres para las personas mayores de 15 años de las comunidades, que desean aprender y superarse cada día. Las clases que se impartirán son ingles, manualidades y cómputo La matricula se mantiene abierta y las clases se impartirán en las instalaciones de CEPIA en Huacas. Curso de Alfabetización El pasado 12 de Abril con mucha motivación dio inicio las clases de Alfabetización, una clase dirigida a personas mayores de 15 años que no saben leer y escribir. Al día de hoy contamos con la participación de 6 personas en este programa. Esto nos llena de mucha satisfacción, el saber de que existen aun personas que quieren superarse y que solo necesitan de una pequeña mano amiga para lograrlo. Suerte para ellos! Importante si conocen personas que están en esta situación y quieren aprender a leer y escribir favor comunicarse con nosotros. Literacy Course On April 12 highly motivated started literacy classes, a class aimed at people over 15 who can not read and write. As of today we have the participation of 6 persons in this program.
