2(50mm) DEFLECTION
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1 Remove cap screw ldquoLrdquo and placemountings under hole in equipmentbase
2 If supports are badly off level shimmounting level before securing
3 Pass cap screw ldquoLrdquo through hole inequipment base and screw looselyinto adjusting bolt ldquoMrdquo
4 Repeat this procedure in all mountinglocations
5 Keep ldquoUpward Rebound Platerdquo fromturning by restraining it with a screwdriver through the adjustment port
6 Take two full counter-clockwise turnson each adjusting bolt ldquoMrdquo andcontinue even adjustment of allmounts until all springs are loadedand mountings are back to Free andOperating Height
7 Take no more than two additionalcounter-clockwise turns on any ldquoMrdquoadjusting bolt to level equipment
8 Tighten cap screws ldquoLrdquo to secureequipment
9 Turn rebound plate clockwise to loweror counter-clockwise to raise Adjustplate so there is 18rdquo(3mm) clearancebetween top of plate and underside ofall directional neoprene cushionSPECIFICATION
Equipment shall be installed on resilientmountings designed and rated to resistseismic forces in all directions Thesnubber shall be adjustable in the verticalup direction and allow a maximum of 14rdquo(6mm) travel in the vertical and horizontaldirection before contacting the resilientsnubbing collars Mountings shall have anAnchorage Preapproval OPA Numberfrom OSHPD in the state of Californiaattesting to the minimum listed certifiedHorizontal and Vertical load ratings
All mountings shall have adjusting boltsthat are rigidly bolted to the equipment
Spring diameters shall be no less than08 of the compressed height of thespring at rated load Springs shall havea minimum additional travel to solidequal to 50 of the rated deflectionMountings shall have a minimum of 2spring inspection ports Submittals shallinclude spring diameters deflectionsand calculations signed by a registeredengineer showing that the seismic loadsthe mountings are to resist have beenproperly calculated Mountings shall beType SSLFH as manufactured byMason Industries Inc

1) Calculate Vertical and Horizontal Forces omountings including translations and overturninmoments 2) Plot Horizontal Load vs Vertical Load Thpoint must fall within the area below the OSHPD curve
