The Background Story

Akij Textile Mills Ltd. a sister concern of Akij Group.A group which has preserved their heritage and culture for more than sixty years with diversified products and are always in continuous pursuit of development and progress of Bangladesh by delivering top quality products and services. The company encompasses the full range of processes from spinning to yarn dyeing and weaving. With long experience in textile it becomes a single source supplier from yarn to fabric.

The Factory Tour

Situated at Manikganj on a land measuring 45 acres and enable to expand further. Akij Textile Mills Ltd. is well equipped with the state of the art machineries from Switzerland, Italy, Belgium and Germany.

The Spinning Division

Akij Textile Mills Ltd. can produce all yarn counts from Ne 7s to Ne 120s 100% cotton yarn. It can produce knit and woven, carded, combed, compact, core and slub with multi count and multi twist yarn both single and double.

Technology

ATML is well equipped with the state of the art machineries. All the machineries are from reputed brand machines manufacturers. All back process is Reiter (Switzerland), Zinser (Germany), Trutzschler (Germany). It also uses TFO and Autocoro from Germany. ATML has latest generation of Uster apparatus from Switzerland for Yarn & Cotton testing i.e. UT-4, AFIS and HVI. In the laboratory the cotton quality & grade and staple lengths are measured for producing the best quality export yarn.

Production Capacity

The production capacity is approximately 40 Tons per day. 25 Tons of compact, combed, carded & slub yarn. 5 Tons come from TFO and the rest 10 tons from Autocoro & Rotors for the export market.

Weaving & Yarn Dyeing Division

To cater the export oriented RMG industries of the country.

It is configured specially for yarn dyeing shirting.

The machineries and its specifications were very carefully selected to enable flexibility and to make all types of yarn dyeing patterns.

The objective of the unit is to produce finest quality yarn dyed fabrics especially checks and stripes made by 100% ELS premium cotton.

Bringing Colors To Life

Yarn Dyeing Division

The Winding Section is equipped with world famous SSM (Swiss) Soft Winding and Re-Winding machinery. The machines have all precision measures for soft winding, precision length measuring and aqua splicer suitable for single yarn as well as double yarn.

Yarn Dyeing Plant

Dying vessels are vertical type having a unique high efficiency symmetrical mix flow circulating system, provided with fully automatic/pneumatic flow reversing device to control in-out / out-in in flow.

Main pumps has frequency Inverter control system of fully automatic microprocessor and PLC made by SETEX Germany.

Each machine is also equipped with ENERCONE energy saving device. Thus the machines facilitate excellent dyeing of yarns without any shade variation within the packages.

Yarn Dyeing Plant – Production Capacity

The plant is capable of dyeing 7.5 tons per day, which will be increased up to 15 tons in the near future.

The unique combination of small and large dyeing vessels, capacity range from 20 Kgs to 1050 Kgs provides extreme flexibility while handling varieties of order size.

Small dyeing machines capacity range from 2 Kgs to 15 Kgs to serve the requirement for sample development.

The facility can be used for dyeing in Beam forms (first time in Bangladesh) to achieve more uniform shade and is also suitable for processing Oxford, Chambray, Fill-a-Fill etc. verities of fabrics.

Weaving preparatory

The heart of the weaving process is equipped with KARL MAYER Sectional Warpers of wider beam width & larger creel capacity. To allow large number of total ends with unique technology, optimum ergonomics & high flexibility enables to process all kind yarn dyed patterns. In addition BENNINGER Direct warper is installed with dye beam warping facilities as well.

Sizing Machines

The Sizing section is installed with most modern KARL MAYER, high-performance sizing unit for processing of spun yarn with Beam to Beam as well as sixteen fractional Beam Creels. The sizing machine is equipped with pre wetting system. A Sow box is provided with Double Deep Double Nip execution for proper sizing effects.

Automatic Drawing in System

A technology brought first time in Bangladesh. To shorten the time required to start weaving production and to avoid human error. The reaching and drawing section is equippedWith STAUBLY Automatic Drawing-in system DELTA 110. This technology is aid to be the dream of weavers . This is capable to complete a full drawing-in operations with 9000 ends colored cotton yarn within 70 to 80 minutes.

Looms

PICANOL Airjet looms with “quick style change” in weaving are one of the strengths of the company. This technology has been brought first time in Bangladesh by Akij Textile Mills Ltd.

The weaving section consists of 80 sets of Picanol Omni Plus 800 Airjet looms from Belgium. The Looms are capable of inserting 6 colors in weft and are equipped with electronic dobby where the number of shafts is as high as sixteen enabling complicated design. Beside that a number of looms are equipped with double beams in order to handle Seer-Sucker and designs with different warp tension.

Sample Sectional Warper

To produce the Sample Yardage Fabric in quickest possible time without hampering the bulk production, we have the KARL MAYER, Rot-O-Matic Sample warping machine. This is capable of producing warp sheet up to 8 different colors with only a single yarn package of each color and sample size of 7 to 400 meters.

CCI Sampling Equipment

To serve the demand for new products (for sample approval) in quickest possible time of exact quality, we are equipped with CCI Automatic sampling 8 color dobby Loom, Sample Warper and Single End Sizing Machine.

We are able to handle 7 Ne to 200 Ne count.

We are able to dye reactive, pigment, vat, disperse and direct dyes.

We are able to process cotton,polyester,rayon,nylon,tencel,spandex,linen etc.

High speed modern Continuous Pretreatment range from ERBATECH Germany with automatic chemical and utility dosing system. This range design in a way that it used for multiple processing.

Caring About The Environment

Water Treatment plant

Raw water is collected through 700ft deep tube well followed by aeration and stored in a reserve tank. After treating the raw water by subsequent procedure we supply the treated soft water to our dyeing plant, which has the direct impact in yarn dyeing process. It is treated by Ion-Exchange and filtering processes and maintain Iron content <0.1 ppm and hardness <25 ppm.

Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)

The colored waste water draining out from the dyeing machines is treated in an effluent treatment plant by biological treatment of Italian technology (SIMEM) which will run 24 hours uninterruptedly. ETP is designed to treat 2000 m3/day with an expansion provision up to 3000 m3/day. It is designed to maintain COD and BOD level of 1300 and 600 ppm respectively.

ATML strictly follows eco friendliness. All fabrics produced are AZO Free.

ATML also looks into the health benefits also by avoiding allergenic disperse dyes.

All dyes used in manufacturing of our fabrics are sourced from highly reputed companies of the world.
