Your student should be completing final assessment tasks according to a set assessment rubric in the next 5 weeks. If you would like to assist your child to complete the assessment task to their best effort, please email or contact your child’s classroom teacher for a copy and to discuss how you can work with the teacher to improve the areas of concern for your child. Planning for 2017 is well underway with over 50 Year 7 enrolments received so far for 2017. Year 7 and 8 students will be able to make choices about their elective subjects for 2017 in the next few weeks. Some interesting subject choices for Year 9 in 2017 include Outdoor Education, the Dukes Award, VET training, Language Enrichment Classes at CSC and Careers Education. Year 8 and 9 subject choice selection sheets will be distributed to students in the next fortnight so that students can make informed choices about subject electives for next year. Forms will require parent signatures. Our final big event for the year is the End of Year Presentation Assembly for Years 7, 8 and 9 on Monday 12 December at 5.30 pm in the GPA. Achievement Awards will be presented to students in all grades and our Year 9 students will receive their graduation certificate. This is an opportunity to recognise our students’ achievements and hard work in 2016. Parents and Carers are encouraged to attend. Please note classes for 2016 will finish on Thursday 15 December 2016.
