El propósito de este documento esproporcionar los procedimientos yresponsabilidades de las partes involucradasen la exportación de cerezas frescas de losEstados de California, Washington, Oregon yIdaho a México.

Este acuerdo sustituye al plan de trabajoAPHIS/OGSVde cerezas existente fechadoen Febrero de 1997.

Las plagas de interés asociadas a las cerezasde los Estados Unidos son Conotrachelusnenuphar (picudo de la ciruela), Rhagoletispomonella (mosca de la manzana),Argyrotaenia citrana y Choristoneura sp.

The pests of concern associated with cherriesfrom the United Stated are Conotrachelusnenuphar (plum curculio), Rhagoletispomonella (apple maggot), Argyrotaeniacitrana (orange tortrix) and Choristoneura sp.(obliquebanded leafroller).

V. Respuesta ante la detección de plagascuarentenarias

A. En origen1. Si se detecta R. Pomonella como parte delsistema de monitoreo usado en los huertos, elProductor involucrado deberá iniciar unprograma adecuado de aspersiones. La frutaproveniente de ese huerto será suspendidadel programa hasta que personal autorizadode APHIS y DGSV determine que laspoblaciones han sidoerradicadas de esehuertoL .

2. Si se detecta C. nenuphar como parte delsistema de monitoreo usado en los huertos,APHIS en coordinación con DGSV, el Estadoy Condado involucrados coordinarán laimplementación de un plan de emergencia. Lafruta proveniente de ese huerto serásuspendida del programa hasta que personalautorizado de APHIS y DGSV determine quelas poblaciones han sido erradicadas de esehuerto.

3. Si se detecta R. Pomonella o C. nenuphar,durante la inspección fitosanitaria en origen ellote del productor será rechazado y elproductor quedará suspendido del programaen tanto APHIS y DGSV investiga el caso yse toman las acciones correctivas.

4. Si se detecta Argyrotaenia citrana oChoristoneura sp. c°r:9.2 resultado de lainspeccion fitosanitariá. en origen, elembarque sera rechazado.

5. Si. se tiene una segunda deteccion deArgyrotaeniacitrana o Chpristoneura sp. . en elmismo lote como .resultado de la inspeccionfitosanitaria Em origen, eL lote completo seraremovido del programa por el restP de latemporada.

B. En frontera

Si se detecta R. pomonella, C. nenuphar,durante la inspección fitosanitaria en frontera,el embarque será rechazado y se procederá ala aplicación de las siguientes acciones omedidas de mitigación de riesgo de plagas:

VIII. Acuerdo General

Este procedimiento fue desarrolladoconjuntamente por el USOAlAPHIS/PPQ ySAGARPAlSENASICAlOGSV, para serusado como una guía para la certificación yexportación de cerezas de Estados Unidosa México. No se permiten desviaciones delas guías de trabajo a menos que esténamparadas por condiciones específicassobre los requisitos de importaciónestablecidos porSAGARPAlSENASICAlOGSV.

IX. Vigencia

1. Este procedimiento entra en vigor a partirde la fecha de su firma y tendrá vigenciaindefinida.

2. SAGARPNSENASICNDGSV, USDNAPHIS/PPQ o la industria se reservan elderecho en su conjunto o por separado decancelar. o suspender el programa, previajustificación y notificación por escrito al restode los participantes con 30 días de

anticipación.
